Dry mode is a function on many ducted and split system air conditioners that helps to reduce humidity levels. Too much humidity can make you feel clammy and uncomfortable even if you have your a/c on and set at a low temperature. We are authorised Daikin dealers and Advantage Air Premium Dealers. When the minisplit is in the cooling mode, which is the most common use of the ductless mini-split, it will pull in warm air, which then flows over a coil. This coil in the mini-split is filled with cold refrigerant. As the mini-split continues to pull in warm air, the coolant works to pull the heat out of the air.
Dry Mode: Dry mode is designed to remove excess humidity from the air without significant cooling. It reduces the moisture content in the room, making it feel less muggy. Dry mode is useful in humid conditions or when you want to prevent the growth of mold or mildew. Fan Mode: Fan mode operates without cooling, circulating air within the room.
If the air conditioner is operating in dry cooling mode, lower the temperature setting, change the mode to dehumidifying operation, or set the automatic dehumidifying setting in the setting menu to ON.
